Overview
Users are able to create and fill out multiple applications. They can view a list of their applications, check the approval process status, receive notification of errors, update application info, print their application, and view contact info for their representative, though they can only have one active application at a time. Their most recent application will always be the ‘active’ application and the only one they can update as long as it has not been submitted. Once an application is submitted it can no longer be updated by the student. If changes are needed the student will need to start a new application.
User Workflow
New users that haven’t filled out an application are not directed to this page. They will fill out the registration form and once they submit that form, they will be taken to the first page of the application form. When a new user registers we create a new application for them immediately.
Users can visit this page using the Home button visible to logged in users in the top nav now. This button will take them to a homepage where they can view their open applications along with basic details about eachtheir active application. This info includes Campus, Program, Start Date, Rep name / email, errors holding up their application such as a start date in the past, and completion and signature status.
...
For each application there will also be an edit button which will take them into the current page of the application. If the application is complete they will still see the warning that editing their application will cancel their payment. There is as well as links to the Student Handbook, and a printable copy of their application if it has been completed.
...
If their current active application has not been submitted there will be an edit button students can click to continue filling out their application. Completed applications can not be updated by the student. If the student is under 18, there will be a register parent button which links to the parent registration form and a print application button which opens the printable view of the application.
The other feature on the new Homepage is the Add Application button. This In addition to information about their current application the home page will display New Application buttons that students can click to start a new application. Clicking either of these buttons will create a new, active application for the user student and take them to the first page of the form. This button will appear in two places on users’ home screen. In the upper right and in the list of applications in line after the last applicationTheir previous active application will no longer be active.
Existing User Workflow
When existing users login, they will be taken to one of two places. If they have an incomplete application, they will be taken to their current page of that application and they’ll be able to continue editing it. If they have no incomplete applications their active application is already complete they will be taken to the home screen and see a list of their applicationspage where they can see info about their active application.
Parent User Workflow
When parents sign in they will have a workflow similar to existing users. If there are any applications is an application ready for their signature, they will be taken to the first page of that application. If there are no such applications they will be taken to the home page.
If at any point a parent is on the home page and there are applications the application is ready for their signature there will be a “Sign Application” button on that application’s card in the list application which they can click to be taken to the application.
